Assessment Stations: History-Taking & Focused Physical Exam
OSCE assessment stations test whether you gather clinically relevant information systematically under time pressure — typically 8–15 minutes per station with a checklist-based marking rubric. Structure history-taking with an open question first ("What's brought you in today?"), then narrow to focused, closed questions covering onset, location, duration, character, aggravating/relieving factors, and associated symptoms (OLDCART or similar frameworks translate directly).
