NCLEX-RN + OSCE — Australia OBA Pathway4a. Basic Care and Comfort

Mobility, Rest & Sleep

Immobility complications follow a predictable, testable pattern by body system: skin (pressure injury), musculoskeletal (contractures, muscle atrophy — reposition at least every 2 hours and use range-of-motion exercises), respiratory (atelectasis, pneumonia — incentive spirometry and deep breathing), cardiovascular (orthostatic hypotension, venous thromboembolism — sequential compression devices, early ambulation, anticoagulation as ordered), and GI/GU (constipation, urinary stasis/infection/renal calculi).
